Caroline Smile has launched over 21 businesses, opened 15 restaurants, developed a hospitality conference, started a food + wine festival, a jazz festival, launched a tech start-up, re-branded restaurants and so much more. Her work in food and wine, hospitality and events around the country defines her career over the last 25 years.

Recently Caroline led Celebrity Chef Partnerships at national meal-kit company, Chef’d, working with the likes of Dominique Crenn, Duff Goldman, Brooke Williamson and Lance Bass. She opened an experiential cafe in Laguna Beach, reworked a retail kombucha shop into a kombucha bar and restaurant, opened an alternative bakery, designed a NYC chef’s 4,000 sq. ft. modern speakeasy, a 10,000 square foot Pizza-Pong Bar, and is working on a high-end Juice/Coffee bar in the resort town of Harbor Springs, MI and a Healthy Drive-thru for LA.

Caroline’s career began as a formerly trained French chef in Paris at Le Cordon Bleu and continued in management at her father’s restaurants in Washington DC which led her north to New York City. She began in nightclubs, opening Knitting Factory in LA and later designing and opening celebrity chef and Michelin-starred restaurants like OTTO and The Spotted Pig. She later moved south and started a world-class food festival Charleston Wine + Food in Charleston, SC and her own million-dollar business as a kitchen consultant and personal chef. She has worked all over the country with highly rated and cutting edge restaurants and since moved west to CA with her husband operates globally designing and consulting for restaurants, events and speciality food businesses.
